ALLIANCE FOR AVIATION ACROSS AMERICA
NASAO is a founding member - along with several other aviation organizations - of the Alliance for Aviation Across America and oversees its activities as a member of the board of directors. The Alliance, which was established in 2007, is a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of over 5,500 members including individuals, businesses, agricultural groups, FBO’s, small airports, elected officials, charitable organizations, and leading business and aviation groups that support the interest of the general aviation community across various public policy issues.
No matter what their core interest, all members of the Alliance recognize that general aviation is vital to the success of towns and communities across the country. The Alliance's goal is to provide resources, messages and tools to help raise awareness about the industry’s value. One of its more valuable online tools is an economic impact survey that provides an overview of aviation's contribution to each state's economy. The survey also provides information about local airports.
