NASAO was established in 1931 to ensure uniformity of safety measures, standardize airport regulations, and develop a truly national air transportation system responsive to local, state, and regional needs. NASAO
members organize, promote, and fund a wide variety of aviation programs across the nation.

About Program
NASAO welcomes the nation’s airports to enhance communication with state agencies, gain access to important communications on current aviation issues, and access NASAO’s Aviation Training Program. Participation for airports is available through two channels:
- State aviation agencies have the opportunity to invite airports to participate through state funded membership in which an additional fee will be charged states for the total number of airports in their state that accept the invitation at a cost of:

- Be featured on the NASAO website: Our Education Partners will be proudly featured on the NASAO website. A summary of the
Institution’s program will be listed, along with a link to its website.
- Receive NASAO News: Complimentary subscriptions for airport staff to the NASAO Brief Newsletter, NASAO Legislative Alerts,
and other communications.
- Content news sharing with NASAO Membership: Send press releases to NASAO so that airport news can be shared in the NASAO Brief newsletter and other communications.
- Committee engagement: Invitations to observe NASAO committees for educational opportunities as State Members and other
industry organizations discuss policies on the most pertinent topics in aviation.

- Conference attendance: Priority perks and discounts on registration and exhibitor opportunities at NASAO’s Annual Convention
(September) and Washington Legislative Conference (February).
- Job postings: Advertise job postings in the NASAO Brief newsletter.
- NASAO Introductions: Ask NASAO staff for introductions that connect to state aviation agency leaders and other NASAO Partners
in your area.
Resources
- NASAO Aviation Data Report: Complimentary access to the NASAO Aviation Data Report (currently 2019 and 2015,
updates in planning), a database that has been used by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and U.S. Government
Accountability Office (GAO).
- Aviation Online Training Program: Complimentary access for up to three staff members to NASAO’s educational program,
designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the aviation industry as well as to provide an orientation to the
complex world of airports. Additional passes may be purchased at $25 per module.
- Membership Directory: Access the most current NASAO Member Directory of state aviation professionals and NASAO
Partners.
- Webinar participation: Receive full access to NASAO’s educational webinars throughout the year.
